MS_Sew What? Fall 2021 (Cancelled)

Makerschool students will experience a diverse, hands-on educational journey. We believe all children are makers and we believe makers are people who collaborate with others, have the courage to try new things, communicate their ideas, and create a better world around them. In addition to core academic subjects our pods offer students everyday opportunities to explore, ask questions, and create solutions.  

Sew What? by Jalene Galena

Learn to make and alter your own clothes. Imagine and create one of a kind garments in a fun class with other sewing enthusiasts. Basic sewing skills are helpful but not necessary. This class will cover the basic skills of pattern making, sewing, and fundamentals for garment construction. Students will also learn to incorporate tools like the laser and Silhouette CNC cutter to customize and give new life to old clothes.

Time: Mondays, 3:00pm-5:30pm

Age Requirements: 13+

Cost: $450 per semester, $800 per year.
