EV_O01: Introduction to CHIRP Radio Programming Software

Get a hands-on introduction to the CHIRP open-source software and learn:
  • Installing and running the software
  • Cloning existing radios and saving configurations to backup
  • Loading UHF and VHF frequencies including repeater frequencies with offsets and tones
  • Changing custom settings via CHIRP instead of the radio's FPP menu

Experience with UHF/VHF amateur bands (2M, 70cm) recommended but not required.

Bring your own HT or mobile transceiver and laptop if you have them.  We will have limited numbers for "loan" for the class.

Expected duration 2hrs

Instructor/Host: Brian Satira, Nova Labs member and licensed ham operator.
