MX_S01: Mixed Media Shop Basic - Woodshop Yellow Tools Sign-off

The MMX Shop is the gateway for many new members to get making right away. MMX offers a suite of light to medium duty tools for beginning and advanced wood, light metal, plastic, and foam applications. MMX Basic tools sign-off will also get users conscientious of tool safety. Upon completion, makers will be able to use, on their own.

• Grizzly 12” Bandsaw
• DeWalt 12” Sliding Miter Saw
• DeWalt Scroll Saw
• Wen Track Saw
• Jet Drill Press
• Harbor Freight Disc Sander
• Harbor Freight Belt & Spindle Sander
• As well as the equivalent tools in the Woodshop

Sign-offs: Mixed Media Basic Tools, Mixed Media Bandsaw, Woodshop Rikon Bandsaw, Delta Planer, Dewalt Sliding Miter Saw, Delta Spindle/Oscillating Sander, Rikon Bandsaw, Dewalt Scroll Saw, Drill Press, Powermatic Hollow Chisel Mortiser, Shop Fox Stationary Sander

Safety Requirements: Close toed shoes (preferably with non-synthetic uppers), non-baggy clothing, long hair and beards need to be pulled back, safety glasses (loaners available in the shop). Optionally hearing protection may be desired for students.
