CC_S: Matsuura CNC Metal Mill Sign Off

Do you want to have the ability to sculpt a solid block of metal to tolerances of a human hair? This workhorse of milling, the Matsuura MC-510V CNC Mill, is fitted with modern CAD and CAM software, using Fusion 360. Take this twenty-hour sign off class to learn general machining (don’t worry, it is not all in one day).

THIS WILL BE A 4-SESSION CLASS, held on consecutive Saturdays: August 7, August 14, August 21, and August 28.

Prerequisites:
CAD and/or machining experience preferred, but not required.
Metal Shop Yellow is also preferred to give you more experience with machining.

Mandatory Safety Dress Code:
Metal Shop dress code enforced. Comfortable closed-toe shoes; no jewelry; no loose clothing; long pants, and hair/beard tied back. 
DO NOT wear synthetics.

Class is required for everyone wishing to use the listed tools, regardless of experience level. After taking this class, inexperienced or moderately experienced people should select a project and come in for help and practice on Metal Shop Mondays Open Office Hours.

Note: Must arrive within 15 minutes of sign off class start time.
