CS_P: Wood & Resin Coaster (2-day project)

In this fun 2-day class, you will learn all the techniques needed to make a set of four gorgeous wood and resin coasters. All materials will be supplied including beautiful wood, resin and a variety of dyes and mica powders to customize your coasters. Make patterns and designs so your set is your own design.

Day 1 (Saturday 2 pm – 6 pm)
You will learn everything you need to know to create a resin and wood project. Build a mold box. Mixing resin. Creating beautiful and visually interesting swirls and patterns with mica powder and dyes. Pouring your coasters using the new resin casting table in The Studio.
Day 2 (Sunday 2 pm - 6 pm)
You will move to the Mixed Media Cantina where you will cut your project into individual coasters and polish them to a glass like finish. You'll also make the base for your coaster set.

Prerequisites: None

Mandatory Safety Dress Code: Closed-toed shoes, short sleeves, no loose clothing, and hair tied back. Must wear a mask at all times and must bring your own safety glasses. Optional: Hearing protection, particle filter, or dust mask.

Instructor: Steve Fritzinger is the composites steward, wood worker, chef instructor, bread-maker, and cosplay expert.
