Foamsmithing is the craft of turning floor mats into lightweight, durable cosplay armor. This class will teach you the basics of foamsmithing, including pattern design, cutting, and assembly techniques, and how to finish your armor.

You'll also build a foam cosplay helmet from scratch.

This class requires cutting foam with a razor knife. Younger children must be accompanied by an adult. It also uses contact cement and other materials that can stain fabric. Wear appropriate clothing.

Class Fee: $40/helmet made. So if you and your kid both join us, but you only want to make 1 helmet, only register once!

Instructor: Steve Fritzinger is the composites steward, wood worker, chef instructor, bread-maker, and cosplay expert.
