Fabiana Cesa, Nova Labs’ resident artist and maker, will journey with your student through a series of long-term projects that involve planning, design, art, engineering, technology, and the kitchen sink! Past Makerclass projects for this age group have been: creating historical dioramas, designing and building cardboard machines, making an articulated puppet, and constructing wood birdhouses. Our makerclasses are designed to introduce your child to a variety of crafts, skills, and materials, while growing their planning and executive function skills. This class inspires a love of the maker process.
We are able to offer this low price thanks to a generous grant from VELA Education Fund, a national nonprofit organization focused on out-of-system learning opportunities. Please contact us if you need further financial assistance.
