This class will introduce students to LEDs, how they work, different kinds available and how to light them. TinkerCAD will be briefly introduced and where functionally supported, TinkerCAD examples will be used to illustrate how LEDs are used in circuits and how to control their illumination using Arduino UNO.
The class will introduce a single color and RGB discrete LEDs, LED strips and NEOPIXELS.
Prerequisites Some exposure to electricity and simple programming would be useful.
