AC_P: Sip & Design: Air Plants Terrarium

Come in from the cold and enjoy the fun of creating a vibrant burst of life in the bitter chill of winter.

11-yr Florist Melanie Cameron delights in the art of arranging and designing with flowers. In this Skills Workshop and Social Event, Melanie will instruct participants in arranging pebbles and river rocks, selecting reindeer moss and other bits from the forest floor to complement the fun shapes of air plants. These easy-to-maintain plants drink the moisture from the air! Once you've brought this terrarium into your home or given it as a host gift, friends will wonder where you acquired this beautiful design. And you get to share that you learned a new skill at Nova Labs! Mel will bring a steak wine for tasting.

BYO: If you wish, bring a Terrarium Container such as a Footed Candy Jar (no lid needed) or Open Fish Bowl (May be found at a local thrift shop. The class provides low rimmed plastic bowls for all participants.)

Age Limit: Age limit: must show ID to participate in the wine portion of this class.

Class Fee Includes: Plastic low-rimmed bowl for designing, pebbles and rocks, brightly colored reindeer moss, a selection of forest bits such as mushrooms and seed pods, and 3 air plants.
