The Maslow is a CNC tool that can handle up to 4’ x 8’ sheetgoods. In this class, you will learn to safely use the Maslow CNC for your large format maker projects. Successful completion enables Nova Labs members to safety and independently use the Maslow CNC.

What to expect:  Beforehand, students will study the Maslow CNC using Lab provided study materials.  At the lab, after a brief quiz, the class will shift to hands on training. Each student will use the Maslow to create a CNC milled sign. Provided Laptop (or equivalent) for knowledge work and CAD/CAM programs.

PrerequisitesEither WW_Router Sign-off or MX_Advanced Tools Sign-off is required prior to taking this class. Working knowledge of Google docs (i.e., drive, docs, mail).

Safety Dress Code: No dangling jewelry, hair or clothes. Long pants and closed-toed shoes required. Expect to get covered with sawdust. Highly recommend bringing your own safety glasses, hearing protection, breathing protection

Note: If you are not compliant with the safety clothing requirements, or arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will not receive a refund.
