TS_P01: Adding Texture to Jewelry: Earrings & Pendants

In this class you will learn about texture and form by making earrings or a pendant using the jewelers saw, disc cutter, dapping block, flexshaft, rolling mill and some basic fold forming. We’ll also pull out the torches and melt a little metal. Sterling silver and copper will be provided for you to make at least two pairs of earrings.

If you’re not into earrings, don’t worry! The same techniques can be applied to making cuff links, rings, bracelets, or just about anything else you might want to make out of precious metals.

Members with the TS: Jewelry Tools sign-off will be able to return again and again to use the tools and materials provided in The Studio.

Non-members are welcome to attend this project class. You will leave with one earings of your own design.
