WW_P09: Make a Simple Box

Make a box - beginner level

In this 2-day class, you will learn all the steps to making a simple box with continuous grain and mitered corners. All materials will be provided and at the end of the 2-day class you take home a lovely box to display, use, or give as a gift.

Day 1: Learn different joinery for boxes, styles of boxes, and mill and prepare wood that results in a continuous grain. End the day gluing up the box.

Day 2: Clean up the glued box and prepare the lid. End the day by putting on finish to bring out the beautiful figure and color of the wood.

Requirements:

• No tool sign-offs needed to take this class.
• Wear close-toed shoes, eye protection, and no loose clothing

Note: We will use the bandsaw, table saw, sanders, planer, and jointer, but no sign-offs will be given for this class.
