CC_S01: ShopSabre CNC Boot Camp Sign-off (Youth Robotics)

Get the sign-off permission to use the CNC ShopSabre in one complete one-day boot camp.

There is a safety and VCarvePro software lecture session. Following the classroom session, the group will move to the CNC LAB and proceed to get each student maker familiar and comfortable operating the control software and the Shop Sabre.

We will take a break for lunch.

The software that will be utilized during training and sign-off is VCarvePro. VCarvePro can be downloaded as a DEMO Version from the Vectric Website (www.vectric.com). The demo version of VCarvePro will not permit a maker to create the toolpaths. Creation of toolpaths is accomplished on the PC attached to the ShopSabre. 

Sign off: ShopSabre CNC, eligible for free Maslow tool sign-off.

Prerequisites: Documented GO sign off. Age 16 or older. See minor policy on the Wiki.

Safety Clothing: Long pants and closed-toed shoes. Do not wear rings, watches, or bracelets.

Note: If you are not compliant with the safety clothing requirements, or arrive more than 15 minutes late, you will not receive a refund.
