MX_S01: Mixed Media Shop - Basic Tools Sign-off

The MMX Shop is the gateway for many new members to get making right away. MMX offers a suite of light to medium duty wood tools for beginning and advanced applications. MMX Basic tools sign-off will get maker members up and running on a variety of tools and also get them conscientious of tool safety.

Upon completion, makers will be able to use, on their own:

Grizzly 12” Bandsaw

DeWalt 12” Miter Saw

DeWalt Scroll Saw

Wen Track Saw

Jet Drill Press

Harbor Freight Disc Sander

Harbor Freight Belt & Spindle Sander

Sign off: MX Basic tools, Grizzly bandsaw

Safety Requirements: Close toed shoes with non-synthetic uppers, non-synthetic clothing, long hair and beards need to be pulled back, safety glasses (loaners available in the shop)
