This class is the follow-on to the MW: Vertical Mill Sign Off class, and is designed to introduce the student to the advanced capabilities and features of the Bridgeport and Index vertical mills. We will cover the set-up of the mill, methods of securing parts, basic end mill bits, table operations, understanding the Digital Read Out (DRO), and the differences between the Bridgeport and the Enco Mill.
After the class, students will receive material, parts, and a drawing of the class project: a machinist tool block with assorted sized of center drills and a 6" stainless scale to keep.
