Sheet mail is chainmail that can be built out in two dimensions, to create a type of fabric. This varies from chain mail, which is (you guessed it) more like a chain or strand - very suitable for jewelry in many cases. All chainmail shirts are made of different types (“weaves”) of sheet mail. In this class, you’ll make a wide bracelet out of the European 4-in-1 weave, which is the most commonly used one for shirts and other wearable sheet mail. Don’t have time to complete your bracelet in class? Don’t worry! You’ll get to take home a handout with some of the things you learned in the class, two pairs of pliers, all your jumprings, and your workmat - which is all you’ll need to finish it at home.
