AC_P01: Inkscape for Crafters Demonstration

Did you know that Crafter uses CNC machines too? The Craft Shop contains several embroidery machines, an industrial vinyl cutter, Silhouette (paper, vinyl, fabric) cutters, and an Eggbot art robot, all using CNC technology. Using Inkscape, I will demonstrate how to create a vector from an image that can be made into stickers, stencils, masks for screen printing, designs for t-shirts, decorated eggs, applique, and embroidered patches.

This is an Inkscape demonstration only, no hands-on.

Prerequisites: none

Instructor: Kathy McCabe is an advanced seamstress, crafter who uses CAD, laser cutter, and many other tools in her work. She also teaches the Industrial Sewing machine class.
