Creating sparks and fire is an integral part of blacksmithing.
Join us for a fun class on forging flint strikers. Students will have an opportunity to handle a number of original medieval strikers to understand design and use. Students will then apply this knowledge to make their own striker. The class is designed to be an introduction to heat treatment and metallurgy for both novice and intermediate smiths. Upon completion, students will practice basic flint striking with their creation and go home with a pouch for their striker and flint.
