Are you interested in sewing projects but don't know where to start? Come spend an evening getting to know your most important tool: the domestic sewing machine.

We'll start by exploring the anatomy of the machine and identifying its parts before learning to wind a bobbin, thread the machine, set up basic stitches, and troubleshoot the most common mistakes before they derail your sewing. You will learn the difference between essential stitches and talk about when and why you would use each one. This hands-on class includes a small project so you can immediately use your newfound knowledge in practical application. By the end, you will have the confidence to sit down at any machine, get it set up, and start sewing—plus the finished project to prove it.

All materials provided, but please bring any eyewear needed for detail work.
