Bambu Sign off!!

Now that you’ve completed the 3D Printer FDM Sign‑Off and made a load of functional parts, you might want to dip your toe into multi-color printing and make something pretty. If you want that, without the learning curve of the Prusa XL then the Bambu Sign‑Off might be perfect for you.

This class will cover the differences in slicing for the Bambu printers, how the slicer integrates with the printer, and how to manage the AMS units as well as operating the printers. Once you complete it you will be able to use the printers within your designated hours.

Disclaimers:
This is a trial at Nova Labs, and we currently have only a small number of these printers, so you may have to wait to use the Bambu printers. These printers have proven to be very resilient for many people, but we have yet to see how they hold up to use at the labs.If the cost to keep them running is significantly higher than our existing fleet, we may retire these printers in the future.

Multicolor prints can be extremely wasteful of filament if not tuned, all multicolor prints must use personal filament. As with all our printers, it is your responsibility to bring the filament home once your job is done.

This class is required for everyone, regardless of experience level, before using our Nova Labs Bambu printers.

Instructor:  Mark S.

Mark is an IT consultant, proud father of an adult daughter (a scientist, booya!), and lives with two cats, several 3D printers, and way too many LEGO sets.  A fan of the artistic and creative possibilities of FDM printing, he enjoys designing things, experimenting with new ideas, and occasionally discovering the limits of a machine the hard way. When not in the Printangle, he's usually telling himself he'll spend more time in the other shops. (and actually starting to do it!)

Note: Unsupervised 3d Bambu FDM printer use is limited to Key/IC members only, and consistent with 3d (Prusa) FDM printing rules, a person with 24/7 access will need to couch for prints outside of your hours if you are not Key (or equivalent).

There is no refund if the student is more than 15 minutes late for class.
