AC_S07: Mastering the Juki Cover Stitch Sign-off

Take your garment sewing skills to the next level by

learning how to use the Juki Cover Stitch Machine for

professional finishes and beyond! 

In this hands-on class, you’ll discover the techniques and tricks to achieve clean, stretchy hems, secure seams, and decorative stitching that elevate your projects to a professional standard.

What You’ll Learn:

• Introduction to the Juki MCS-1500: Understanding how to operate the machine, thread the machine, and make tension adjustments for optimal performance.

• Practical Applications: Master hemming knit fabrics, attaching elastic, creating decorative topstitching, and finishing raw edges.

• Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Learn to address common issues like skipped stitches and maintain the machine for longevity.

Sign Off: Juki MCS-1500

Age Limit: 16+ (minors must have accompanying adult)

Prerequisites: This class is designed for individuals who are already comfortable with basic sewing and operating sewing machines. No prior experience with cover stitch machines is necessary. Prior experience with serger highly recommended. 

Cancellation Policy: 48 hours

What to Bring:  

• Necessary eyewear for detail work
• Any garments or projects you’d like to practice on (optional)

This class must have 3 students sign up to run. If the class is cancelled, registrants will be notified and issued a refund. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, that is a safety violation and you may not be able to join the class/receive a sign off.

Per Nova Labs policy, there is no refund if the student is non-compliant with the safety dress requirement or more than 15 minutes late for class.
