MW_S08: MIG Welding 101 Sign-off

Have you wanted to learn how to weld—or wished you could repair a broken metal object yourself? This class introduces you to MIG welding and gives you the opportunity to earn your MIG welder sign-off.

Sign-off: MIG Welder

Safety and dress code: Wear natural-fiber clothing and long pants. Closed-toe shoes are required, preferably made from natural materials. Tie back long hair.

Independent-use requirement: You may take this class before completing the Metal Shop Basic Tools Sign-off. However, you must complete both sign-offs before using the MIG welder independently. Until then, you are welcome to practice under supervision at Metal Shop Mondays.

Arrival policy: Arriving more than 15 minutes late is a safety violation. Late arrivals will not receive a refund.
